I had the great fortune of being able to assist Amanda Lee-Harris Gibbs with this piece for an early 2021 City of Hope initiative on the grounds the Disneyland Resort. Working late into the night and then being back on site for press appearances at dawn, this was a wild adventure I was so glad to be part of. Amanda is a well-loved chalk artist in the national scene, whose guidance and friendship really got my own chalk journey started.
I was able to contribute the butterflies and startdust to this piece, leaving Amanda free to focus on her signature adorable portraits and next-level lettering.
