This was a fun weekend project for my own house.
I’d done this fabric painting you see hanging above the fireplace some years before, and when we decided to go dark turquoise for the accent wall around it, it simply begged me to paint the illusion of a frame in the existing copper tones of the room, while I was at it.
Faux metal effects take a good bit of layering, and of course careful masking, but the end result is a delight!
