Tomorrow begins the Conclave to choose Pope Francis' successor.

I'm not Catholic, nor very well versed in the intricacies of Papal politics, but I know well enough to know there was a lot to love about Francis.

Throughout his papacy, Francis was noted for his humility, emphasis on God's mercy, international visibility, commitment to interreligious dialogue, and concern for the poor, migrants, and refugees.

From an outsiders viewpoint, he seemed to be a man who really cared. Who thought religion should be about being good to one another. Pope through much of my adult life, he struck me as a light of mercy, hope, and goodwill, when a lot of other people in positions of authority haven't always shared those values.

I learned that Francis appointed 80% of the Cardinals who will gather to choose their next leader. Hopefully the love, stewardship of the Earth, and inclusivity that he nudged the world toward will continue their forward movement.

Oh! I never shared with y'all this delightful wedding painting delivery, to @chantelleandjoel 's gorgeous @chantellepianetta.

I saw Chantelle share that she was in a dance show last month a little closer to me than her performances usually are, so I jumped at the chance to experience her beautiful art making, and deliver my art making to her in one swoop!

It was a fantastic evening and I'm so incredibly fortunate to work with such radiant, talented, and kind humans.
